ok so here's her deal

When she was born, her brain lacked a certain chemical that controls body temperature and is necessary for trolls to survive. Within minutes of hatching, she fell very ill and had an enormous fever. With no way to help and nothing left to do, the attending trolls cast her out into the caverns to die. However, a miraculous event took place. A Tiger-like lusus, who had been wandering the caves in search of a child fresh out of their trials to parent, happened upon little Perlan. It's particular species is known to be very vicious and wary, but also contain a fluid in their horns that has traces of the chemical Perlan lacked inside of it. For reasons still unknown to everyone, the animal broke off its horn and stabbed it through the young wiggler's skull (hence the scar). This supplied her with enough of the chemical to survive while triggering the glands in her body that are supposed to produce it naturally. The downside, though, is that the other chemicals in the fluid addled her brain a little, and screwed up her vision. Now one eye sees normally, but the other sees hallucinations.,The lusus took the wiggler in and raised it as it normally would have. Perlan's metamorphosis period was thus delayed for quite some time, and she never went through her trials. Because of this, many doubt whether or not she should even be alive and among their ranks.

Personality~wise, she is very hyperactive and easily distracted, and though she can sometimes solve complex problems or situations with ease, she has a lot of difficulty grasping simple concepts. She can be very sensitive, and can ramble o for hours if you let her. She is prone to violent mood swings. Even though most are annoyed by her, she still has a habit of cheering them up. Although she is rather crazy, on the inside she is very thoughtful and contemplative as well as witty and sarcastic. Also, because her glands still aren't working exactly as they should, she tends to get extremely cold or hot for no particular reason.
